Another ‘Bad Girl’ Joins ‘EastEnders’
Annette Badland, who played Angela Robbins in an episode of Bad Girls’ final eighth series, has joined EastEnders as Aunt Babe, one of two more recently announced additions to the Carter family, which includes former Bad Girls stars Linda Henry (Yvonne Atkins), Luisa Bradshaw-White (Lorna Rose) and Kellie Bright (Cassie Tyler).
Of her casting, Badland said:
I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders as I’ve always admired the show and everyone involved in it seems so warm-hearted. Aunt Babe is a fabulous and complex woman and I can’t wait to get stuck into the role.
Annette’s character will appear in EastEnders towards the end of January.
The Carter family are the newest addition to the soap, introduced by new Executive Producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins in order to “shake up” the long-running show.
Linda Henry, who plays Shirley Carter, has been on the soap since 2006.
